All of our material is 100% made and sourced in the USA. Our beds are constructed in Watertown, WI.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY LUUF?
LUUF beds are handcrafted and made-to-order in the United States. We typically need 3-4 days to craft your mattress. Transit time can take 1-5 business days via UPS or FedEx.
HOW IS A LUUF SHIPPED?
LUUF beds are compressed, rolled, and shipped in a 20" x 20" x 40" box. Our beds range in weight from 100-150 lbs. Please have help moving the larger boxes. This type of packaging allows us to give you a higher quality bed at a lower price.
DO YOU TAKE AWAY MY OLD MATTRESS?
No, LUUF is delivered to your door in a box ready for you to set up.
HOW LONG CAN THE LUUF BED REMAIN IN THE BOX?
Per LUUF's warranty, your LUUF bed should be opened within two (2) weeks of receiving the mattress to prevent compression for an extended period of time. If you will not be ready to open your new bed within 2 weeks, please let us know and we can delay the shipment of your order.
HOW THICK IS LUUF?
The LUUF bed is approximately 13" thick, and the Little LUUF has a smaller (bunk-bed friendly) profile of 8".

WHAT SHOULD I PUT MY LUUF ON?
Your LUUF will feel great on traditional mattress foundations, box springs, and platform bed frames. You want to ensure that slats have adequate center support and that they should be no more than 4 inches apart. Foundations should have little give or flexibility. Waiting on new furniture? You can put your LUUF on the floor and start sleeping great right away.
ONCE I TAKE MY LUUF OUT OF THE BOX, HOW LONG UNTIL IT IS READY FOR USE?
Your LUUF will spring to life in a matter of minutes. You can rest easy knowing that you can sleep on your LUUF the day it arrives.
HOW DO THE LUUF AND LITTLE LUUF FIRE BARRIERS WORK?
We use non toxic materials in our fire barriers for the safety of your health. We use cotton & rayon (the same materials used in clothing) which create a barrier as they melt but do not burn. They act as a thermal barrier so the internal components do not get exposed to the heat. All LUUF Beds are tested at Underwriters Laboratory, the largest testing faculty in the US.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY LUUF?
Your LUUF is a one sided mattress, which means it is a NO-FLIP bed. You can rotate it from head to toe after you have had it for about 6 months, then once a year. In order to prevent breakdown we HIGHLY recommend you protect your mattress with a waterproof mattress protector. This will keep sweat, liquids, and stains off your LUUF & keep your warranty intact.
What is TENCEL™?
TENCEL™ is a fiber produced by environmentally responsible processes. It is made from sustainably sourced, natural, raw material such as eucalyptus, birch, and oak. TENCEL ™ fiber is used in The Ultimate Cooling Pillow, The Gel Dough Pillow, Luuf & Little Luuf Sheets, and The Luuf Mattress Protectors.
Why TENCEL ™?
TENCEL™ is known for being extremely strong yet silky soft. It is a hollow fiber structure that is breathable, allowing air to circulate throughout the night for better temperature regulation during sleep. TENCEL™ is also hypoallergenic and prohibits bacteria growth allowing for a clean and healthy sleeping environment.
ARE LUUF MATTRESSES CertiPUR-US® Certified?
Yes! The foams used in our mattresses are all CertiPUR-US® certified. This means the foam has been tested to meet the CertiPUR-US® rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability. Specifically, the foam is:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

ARE LUUF MATTRESSES OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED?
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a globally standardized, independent testing and certification system. They certify fabrics and textiles based on health and safety. The fabric used for our mattresses is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. This means that it has been tested for harmful substances and that the fabric is therefore harmless in human ecological terms. Our fabric is in the highest product class, which is Product class 1, meaning it’s safe for babies and toddlers.

HOW DO I CONDUCT A MATTRESS RETURN?
We ask that you give your LUUF a chance. It can take up to 21 days for your body to adjust to a new bed. However, you may initiate a return at any time during the 100 night trial. Please email Hello@luufbeds.com for authorization. Once you have received authorization, we can have the mattress picked up at no expense to you. At that point we will refund you your original purchase price.
HOW DO I CONDUCT AN ACCESSORY RETURN?
We are happy to take back unopened and unused accessories, we only ask you pay for shipping. Please email Hello@luufbeds.com to set up your return. Unfortunately, due to sanitary reasons we can not take back opened accessories. Accessories include pillows, sheets, protectors, blankets & bedding. We do offer a 30 day comfort exchange on pillows. You can try your pillow for up to 30 days and exchange your opened pillow for a different feel. Pillow comfort trail is limited to one exchange.
CAN I RETURN MY LUUF PLATFORM BED or ADJUSTABLE BASE?
The Luuf Platform Bed and Adjustable Base can not be returned or exchanged, and do not qualify for a trial. However, the Luuf Platform Bed is compatible as a foundation or box with any mattress and most furniture. The Luuf Adjustable Base is compatible with many mattresses.
